The Harbor Lofts
400 Spear St, San Francisco, CA / South Beach, District 9

Originally known as the Hathaway Warehouse, this historic 1857 building is one of the six oldest buildings in the city and is a designated historic landmark. Additions to the Harrison Street facade were completed in 1875 and the upper sections of the building were completed by about 1900.
The building was converted by MBH Architects to 46 live/work lofts in 1996, and in 1997 won the Gold Nugget Award of Merit, Adaptive Reuse. Centered around a two-story central courtyard, units range from 650 to 1,700 sq. ft. (aprx). Interiors feature exposed brick and timber.
The Harbor Lofts are located on the shores of Rincon Point and offers easy access to SOMA, Financial District and the new Embarcadero.
